2 Trucks Overturn In 4 Days At Shikarpur Railway Gate; Power Disruption and Traffic Jam Follow

Morena (Madhya Pradesh): The Shikarpur railway gate has become a hotspot for truck overturns, with two incidents occurring in just four days. Last night, a truck carrying ration rice overturned after attempting to navigate the narrow gate. The driver lost control, and the vehicle struck an electric pole, causing a power outage that lasted for hours.

The truck then fell into a deep pit, blocking the road and further complicating traffic. This is the second such incident in a short span, as just four days ago, another truck overturned near the same gate, damaging both the vehicle and a nearby farm wall.

The lack of space at the gate is creating significant traffic disruptions, forcing vehicles traveling from Ambah, Porsa, and Gwalior to take alternative routes. Pedestrians are also facing difficulties as the road is increasingly obstructed.

Local authorities including the discom and police quickly responded to both accidents. However, concerns are growing over the possibility for another major accident at this congested location if proper measures aren’t taken.
