Nikhil Saigal was in good nick and potted consistently to carve out a 4-2 win against Parth Shah in a third-round match qualifying match of the CCI Snooker Classic 2025, an all-India tournament, played at the CCI’s Wilson Jones billiards hall on Sunday.

The Khar Gymkhana cueist showed excellent touch, played steadily and recorded three substantial breaks during his success. He rolled in a 59-point break in comfortably winning the third frame and followed it up with two more useful breaks of 38 and 40 in the fifth and sixth frames respectively to complete a deserving 31-62, 70-31, 85-0, 40-63, 61-10, and 75-23 victory and qualify for the main draw.

Rushabh Jain and Abhishek More both produced impressive performances and registered straight frames 4-0 victories from the respective third-round encounters and qualified for the tournament proper. Rushabh Jain outplayed Pamula Avinash clinching a 53-10, 56-42, 70-17, and 68-28, win. More faced quite a challenge from Sarvik Srivastav but managed to come out trumps posting a 69-49, 72-8, 75-62, and 53-36 verdict.
