In a significant educational endeavour, the Alard School of Health & Biosciences, Alard University Pune, organised a one-day industrial visit to the Vasantdada Sugar Institute (VSI) in Manjari, Pune, on February 18, 2025. The visit was conducted under the guidance and blessings of Dr LR Yadav, Founder and Chancellor of Alard University, Pune.

Prof Dr Ajai Kumar Jain, Dean of the School of Health & Biosciences, inaugurated the event with an insightful introduction, highlighting Alard University's dedication to academic excellence and the role of such industrial visits in bridging theoretical knowledge with practical applications. A group of 35 undergraduate students from the School of Health & Biosciences participated in the visit, where they explored three core departments: Agricultural Microbiology, Genetics and Molecular Biology, and Plant Tissue Culture.

BG Mali provided an informative overview of the Agricultural Microbiology Department, explaining the production of biofertilizers at VSI. Shubham Patil presented the Plant Tissue Culture Department, offering students an understanding of sugarcane tissue culturing processes. Madhvi Ghan guided the students through the Genetics and Molecular Biology Department, giving them a detailed explanation of the ongoing research and techniques in these areas.

The visit was meticulously coordinated by Dr Disha Senjaliya and Dr Savita Petwal, both from the School of Health & Biosciences, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for all attendees.
