Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Madhya Pradesh office of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was reportedly shut down due to unpaid rent on Friday morning. The action was taken by the landlord of the property after the party failed to pay rent for two months, i.e. ₹50,000.
AAP’s Madhya Pradesh office was set-up in the capital Bhopal.
According to a report in Nai Dunia, AAP's state president, Reena Agarwal, stated that she was unaware of the situation. "I have no information about the state office in Subhash Nagar being locked. I will check with Bhopal officials," she said.
Link with AAP’s defeat?
It is speculated that the incident is linked to the recent defeat of AAP in the Delhi Assembly elections. Internal disagreements among party officials in Madhya Pradesh are becoming evident, with signs of discord emerging within the leadership.
Meanwhile, Bhopal district president CP Singh Chauhan also denied any knowledge of the incident. He clarified that the district office is located in Narela Shankari and said, "I have no information about the state office being locked by the landlord."
