As we progress further into the new year of 2025, we are entering the third month of the year. March, most importantly, would also mark the last month of the current fiscal year, FY 25 or FY 2025-26.

The month of March has a total of 15-19 holidays, depending upon the state or Union Territory one resides in. The first day of the month, Saturday, will see banks operating. It once again needs to be noted, that these numbers may vary depending upon the state, that one is living in.

The List of Holidays For February

The first holiday of the month comes on March 3, which is a Sunday.

This will be followed in Odisha by another Holiday on Wednesday, March 5, when bank will remain shut on account of Panchayati Raj Diwas.

In Sikkim, banks will be non-operational on Friday, March 7 due to Losar.

Banks will remain closed on March 8, as it would mark the second Saturday of March.

Banks in many parts of the country will be shut on Friday, March 14 on account of the auspicious festivity of Holi. This would be followed by Sunday, March 16.

Banks will then be closed on the Marathi new year of Gudi Padwa, March 30 as well.

The month of March will see its last holiday on Monday, March 31, on account of Islamic festival of Id-ul-Fitr or Ramadan Id.
