In a heartwarming tale of kindness, a Reddit user recently shared how he helped a Zomato delivery partner by purchasing two bottles of cold drinks from him despite he didn't order them. Here's why...

A Redditor post shared on "India Social" mentioned a conversation between a customer and the delivery agent. The delivery, unlike usual ones, was not restricted to handing order food that was on the cart.

According to the post, the delivery person arrived at the Redditor’s home and sadly explained how his act of kindness in his previous delivery wasn't appreciated. He revealed a customer had requested two bottles of cold drinks claiming that they forgot to add these items while placing the order on the app. Considering the request, the delivery boy arrived with the cold drinks, only to face a hard refusal.

Act of kindness

It was learned the customer had promised to pay for the drinks in cash during delivery but changed his mind later and refused to purchase the drinks from him.

Left with two bottles of Thums Up, the delivery boy was unsure of what to do with them and how he could recover the money he shelled out from his pockets to purchase them. That's when he turned to the Redditor, requesting if they would be interested in buying the drinks.

The Redditor, in a gesture of kindness, took out a Rs 100 note and handed it to the delivery partner, immediately adding joy to his face. The delivery partner then expressed his gratitude with a heartfelt "thank you." “I could see he was genuinely relieved and happy. It was as if that Rs 100 note was everything he needed in that moment,” the Redditor wrote in his now-viral post.

"He was so happy after..."

"He was so happy after seeing the (rupee) note. I could tell it made a difference for him," the user added.

The story has struck a chord with Redditors, with many praising the Zomato customer's gesture towards the delivery partner, especially considering how little acts of kindness can brighten someone’s day.

"A fellow good human OP. God bless you", a netizens reacted on the post.

"This is terrible, I generally ask delivery guys to bring me cigarettes, aise toh trust issues ho jayega. Hamare toh lag jayenge", commented another user condemning the action of the customer who refused to accept the cold drinks.
