The Marathwada Accelerator for Growth and Incubation Center (MAGIC) hosted the 'MAGIC LearnNext' session on the fundamentals of sales for startups on Wednesday. The session featured Chakor Gandhi, an expert in sales and marketing and a business coach, who provided insights into essential sales strategies, understanding customer needs, and effective sales techniques. The event was organized in collaboration with deAsra Foundation and was sponsored by Persistent Systems.
During the session, Gandhi explained the interrelation between marketing and sales. Using Apple's marketing strategy as an example, he emphasized that sales are not just about selling a product but about delivering an experience to the customer. He highlighted the importance of market research and creating customer-centric strategies for successful sales.
He further stated that for startups to achieve sales success, they must reach a broad customer base, identify potential buyers, and provide them with precise information. He stressed that building customer trust, maintaining effective communication, managing time efficiently, using the right body language, actively listening to customers, and earning their confidence are key aspects of successful selling.
The session commenced with an introduction to MAGIC’s various initiatives by its Director, Ashish Garde. The event was moderated by Devyani Sane from deAsra Foundation. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Krishna Tekale from MAGIC. Over 50 startups actively participated in the event.
