Moscow: A video from Yekaterinburg, Russia is gaining traction on social media platforms where a mother is seen laying in snow over her 5-year-old son to protect him from the Rottweiler Dog's attack as she bleeds and calls for help. The internet is calling the mother 'brave' for fearlessly wrapping and protecting her son from any attack.
The video was recorded by someone sitting in a car parked opposite to where the woman laid on top of her son to protect her from a Rottweiler breed dog who has a metal band around his neck indicating he has been domesticated.

She suffers wounds and open fracture, blood stains snow in Russia's Yekaterinburg
Investigation underway — should dangerous dogs require a license to own? pic.twitter.com/16ZgD3zlTI
The dog seems to be barking and growling only at somebody with a shovel who is not seen in the frame but says silent and calm with the lady and the child. The woman has marks on her hands and is seemingly bleeding while she lays on the snow.
Although the X post states the investigation is underway but the actual happenings of the incident are unknown, many people posting the video claim that the Rottweiler dog attacked the lady which led to her bleeding and causing an open fracture while she bravely continues to protect her child from the dog.
Netizens React
While many are questioning the dog's mannerisms, training and owner's responsibility to handle such a situation, some are questioning if owning such breeds should require a license while others argued that the dog seems to be protecting the child and mother rather than being the one attacking them. Some are also seen hating on the person who recorded the video instead of helping the child and the woman.
Here are some of the comments:
Brave mother, she deserves recognition for stepping up.

Don't blame the dog.... blame the owner. My Rottweiler never bit or harmed anyone. Neither did my Rottweiler/Great Dane.

Pitbulls 100% should require a license or be outright illegal to own. Rottweilers don’t seem as bad? But I wouldn’t mind them requiring some kind of license as well

Is there a full video I am unconvinced, what kind of "dog attack" just has the dog stop attacking all out of a sudden? All two times I have been bitten it is either the owner pulling the dog away or me fighting the dog to de-escalate.

This mom is a hero and the so called “man” filming is a loser.

Well, it's a hard call, they're the most loyal companions of all time. Raised right, perfect conditions and right owner mean you'll have no problems, in a fair and just world. Abnormalities do happen though, like this one, so accidents or dangers can occur. I've experienced…
