The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday officially announced the schedule for the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate (CUET-PG) 2025. The examination, which facilitates admission to postgraduate programmes in various central, state, and deemed universities across India, will be conducted from March 13 to April 1 in computer-based test (CBT) mode across 43 shifts, with each of them lasting 90 minutes.
The registration window for CUET-PG 2025 remained open from January 2 to February 8, with a correction facility provided between February 10 and 12. A total of 4,12,024 candidates have registered for the examination which covers 157 subjects, with applicants having the option to select up to four test papers, the NTA said in an official notification. The test will be conducted across multiple shifts in designated centres nationwide.
The question papers will be bilingual in English and Hindi, except for the 41 language-specific examinations. Certain technical and higher education subjects such as MTech and higher sciences will be conducted exclusively in English, while Acharya papers will be in Sanskrit. Hindu Studies will be offered in Hindi and English, whereas Indian Knowledge System and Buddhist Studies will be trilingual in Hindi, Sanskrit, and English.
Candidates can expect the release of the City Intimation Slip approximately 10 days before the examination date. This slip will provide details about the allotted city where the candidate's test centre will be located.
The CUET PG 2025 exam will retain its 75-question format from the previous year. As per the marking scheme, candidates will be awarded four marks for each correct answer, with a deduction of one mark for every incorrect response.
