Morena (Madhya Pradesh): A patient died while his wife sustained injuries after the 108 ambulance carrying him lost control and rammed onto a pile of soil. The accident occurred in Madhya Pradesh's Morena district on Tuesday night.

The locals who witnessed the accident transported both the injured to the district hospital, where the patient was declared dead. The injured woman is undergoing treatment at the hospital. The brother of the deceased has filed a complaint against the driver, alleging that he was intoxicated.

According to information, the victim, identified as Ashok Kushwaha, was being transported from Kailaras to the Morena District Hospital on Tuesday night. While on the way, the driver lost control, and the vehicle ran over a heap of soil on the roadside. The accident injured both the patient and his wife, Kalpana Kushwaha. Due to the loud sound of the ambulance skidding, locals rushed to the spot. They then rushed the injured to the district hospital, where doctors declared Ashok Kushwaha dead. His wife, Kalpana, was admitted for treatment.

On Wednesday morning, the victim’s brother came forward with serious allegations against the ambulance driver. He claimed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, which may have led to the mishap. He demanded a thorough investigation into the incident.

Police Await Driver's Medical Reports

Following the accident, authorities took swift action. The deceased’s body was transported to the postmortem house for an autopsy. Moreover, the police have registered a case and initiated a detailed probe. They are examining all possible angles, including the driver's condition at the time of the crash and the road conditions.
