Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava has been doing exceptionally well at the box office. The film even during weekdays in its second week is collecting amazing amount. According to sacnilk, the movie on its day 12, second Tuuesday collected Rs. 18 crore, taking the total to Rs. 363.25 crore which is excellent. Today, it is a holiday (Maha Shivratri), so once again we can expect Chhaava to grow at the box office, and looking at the trend we won't be surprised if today's (Wednesday) collection will be around Rs. 30 crore.
Chhaava has already beaten many biggies like Sultan, PK, Sanju and others at the box office. It will now easily surpass the lifetime Indian box office collection of Dangal. The Aamir Khan starrer had minted Rs. 387.38 crore. By the end of this week, we can expect that Chhaava will reach the Rs. 400 crore mark or will at least be around it.
After surpassing Dangal, Chhaava will become the sixth highest grossing Hindi film if we look at the domestic box office collection. The movie's next aim will be to enter top 5 by beating Gadar 2. The Sunny Deol starrer had minted Rs. 525.7 crore at the box office.
While there are no major releases till March 14, Chhaava is expected to continue its glorious run at the box office. So, even if it enters the 500 crore club, we won't be surprised.
It is Vicky Kaushal's highest grossing film till date, and with such a big blockbuster, he proves that he is a bankable star now, and has entered the list of A-list actors. However, it will be interesting to see what response his next film Love & War will get at the box office. As Love & War is being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, everyone is expecting that the film will take the box office by storm. The movie is slated to release in 2026.
