Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) organized a get-together for the ex-employees of the printing department and a workshop on modern printing technology on Monday.
The event was organized jointly by the Printing Technology Department and the University Printing Press. Manager Ajay Gangawane, employees' association leader Dr. Kailas Pathrikar, accounts department deputy registrar Dr. Sanjay Kawade, head of the department Dr. Parag Hase, assistant manager Bhagwan Gadekar, and other dignitaries were present.
The retired employees of the printing department, including Gangadhar Shelke, Ashok Deshmukh, Vinay Joshi, Vasant Pawar, P.M. Kathar, Gangaram Bobade, Abdul Kadar, Sarjerao Borade, P.B. Gadpe, Gautamkumar Jain, B.N. Bhavsar, Sahebrao Devare, Suresh Bhagat, and others, were felicitated.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pathrikar said that once around 84 employees were working in the printing department, and all the printing work of the university was done there. Now, it is the need of the hour for the printing department to regain its lost grandeur.
Dr. Hase said that efforts are being made to modernize the printing department under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Dr. Vijay Fulari.
Prasad Kulkarni conducted the proceedings of the function, while Pandurang Tangade proposed a vote of thanks. Tukaram Tagade, Nitin Salampure, Amol Pattebahadur, Swayam Sale, Rahul Khandalkar, Prasad Kulkarni, and Pandurang Tagade made efforts for the success of the function.
