Chhaava is in no mood to slow down at the box office. The Vicky Kaushal starrer had a fantastic second weekend, and despite India vs Pakistan match, the film on its second Sunday collected Rs. 40 crore which is excellent. Now, on its second Monday, day 11, Chhaava did show a drop, but still it managed to collect a double digital which is amazing.
According to sacnilk, Chhaava on its day 11 collected Rs. 18.50 crore, taking the total to Rs. 345.25 crore. The movie has surpassed the lifetime collection of films like Aamir Khan starrer PK (Rs. 340.80 crore) and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju (Rs. 342.57 crore). Interestingly, in Sanju, Vicky played a supporting role, and had impressed one and all with his performance.
Even if there's a drop in the coming days, Chhaava is expected to collect around Rs. 400 crore by the end of its second week. The movie is surely eyeing to surpass the box office collection of Dangal. The Aamir Khan starrer had collected Rs. 387.38 crore at the box office in India.
But, after Dangal, the next Hindi film that Chhaava needs to surpass is Gadar 2. The Sunny Deol starrer had collected Rs. 525.7 crore. So, it will be interesting to see whether Vicky Kaushal's film will beat the Sunny Deol's film or not. There are no major releases for the next few weeks, so Chhaava is going to be the audience's first choice. So, if the movie will reach the Rs. 500 crore club, we won't be surprised.
Chhaava has surely made Vicky one of the most bankable actors of the indutsry. He has some really interesting projects lined up like Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War and Amar Kaushik's Mahavatar. In Mahavatar, the actor will be seen portraying the character of Chiranjeevi Parashurama.
