Sant Nirankari Mission, with the resolution of service and welfare of humanity, initiated the cleaning of the Harsul Lake and Godawari River on Sunday. The volunteers of the Mission started the cleaning efforts from 7 am to 11 am, spreading the message of "Clean Water, Clean Mind." Mission branches from CIDCO, Sindhi Colony, and Bajajnagar participated in the drive, targeting the areas of Harsul Lake and Godawari River at Kaigaon Toka.
The first two stages of cleaning and the Mission's ongoing drive to clean rivers, lakes, wells, streams, and other water sources received an overwhelming response from both the volunteers and residents. The cleaning drive is set to continue in multiple stages to tackle the pollution of the region’s water sources, according to the officials.
District coordinator D.G. Dalvi mentioned that this initiative is part of a nationwide effort, with the Mission launching the cleaning drive in 1,600 places across 900 cities in 27 states and union territories in the country. In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the drive was initiated under the guidance of Shivaji Kubde and Sachin Adhane. Hundreds of volunteers from the area actively participated in the cleaning efforts.
The Sant Nirankari Mission has committed to improving the environment and promoting the message of cleanliness, aiming to enhance the quality of water sources and contribute to a cleaner, healthier community.
