Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Two people lost their lives and a woman was seriously injured after a car crashes into a parked truck in Jabalpur on Monday.

The two died on the spot, and the woman was seriously injured in the Sanjeevani Nagar area of Jabalpur.

After the accident, police arrived at the scene and rushed the injured to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical Hospital. The condition of the injured woman was critical.

CSP Bargi Sunil Nema reported that a Maruti XL6 car (MP04ED9540) was traveling from Andhmukh to Katni Bypass when it crashed into a parked truck on the roadside.

The impact was so severe that the driver and another passenger died instantly, while a woman in the car suffered serious injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Ashwani Choudhary from Sultanpur, Raisen, and Saurabh Sen from Raisen. The injured woman, Varsha Patel, is also from Raisen district.

All three were on their way to the Prayagraj Mahakumbh when the accident happened.

Upon receiving information, the police reached the site and sent the bodies to the medical hospital. The injured were taken for treatment with the help of a 108 ambulance.

The post-mortem of the deceased will be conducted after their families arrive. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
