Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra mocked Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan for comparing Salman Ali Agha and Khushdil Shah to India’s Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel as bowlers after Pakistan’s heavy defeat to India in the Champions Trophy on Sunday.

During the post-match press conference, a reporter asked Rizwan if selecting only one specialist spinner was a mistake. Defending the decision, Rizwan responded, “No, you can’t say that. Even India has just one main spinner, Kuldeep Yadav. Jadeja and Axar are all-rounders, just like we have Salman Ali Agha and Khushdil Shah, who have bowled well in the past.”

Aakash Chopra took to social media to poke fun at Rizwan, captioning, “Pakistan skipper Rizwan believes that Salman Agha and Khushdil Shah are of the same quality (as bowlers) as Jadeja and Axar. You can’t make these things up. Delulu Is The Only Sululu.”

He also added that while Pakistan’s matches are one-sided, their meme game and cricket-related content after losses are top-class.

India defeat Pakistan by 6 wickets

India, chasing 242, India lost Rohit Sharma early, but Shubman Gill played a steady knock of 46. Shreyas Iyer contributed 56 runs and built a crucial 114-run partnership with Virat Kohli.

Kohli, who loves playing against Pakistan, delivered another brilliant performance, scoring his 51st ODI century. He also became the fastest batter to reach 14,000 ODI runs, breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record. With that India beat Pakistan by 6 wickets.

Pakistan now sits at the bottom of Group A and faces an uphill battle to qualify. With two losses in two games and a lower net run rate than third-placed Bangladesh, they need a miracle and favourable results from other matches to keep their hopes alive.
