Central Railway has won the 1st prize for Overall Performance in “ Vrikshavalli-2025, the 14th Annual Tree, Flower, Fruit & Vegetables Show-2025 organized by The Thane Municipal Corporation Tree Authority & Horticulture department from 14th to 16th February 2025 at Raymond Race Track, Thane.

*Central Railway won prizes in 15 categories including* :

· 2 First prizes viz- for Overall Performance and for Seasonal plants grown in Container.

· 5 Second prizes for Foliage plant in pots, Flowering plants in pots, Seasonal cut flowers, Aromatic plants and Landscape on the spot

· 8 Third prizes for Mass Display Sunny situation, Mass Display Shady situation, Cactur & Bromeliads, Bromeliads, Orchids, Roses(H.T), Roses(Minature) and Avenue Trees in pots.

B. *Runner Up Championship Trophy in 62nd Annual Vegetable, Fruits & Flower Show- 2025*

Central Railway has won the Runner Up Championship Trophy in the 62nd Annual Vegetable, Fruits & Flower Show-2025 organised by National Society of Friends of the Trees on 8th & 9th February 2025 at DG Ruparel College, Matunga, Mumbai.

*Central Railway won prizes in 9 categories including*:

· The Dr.Chandrakant Salunke Rolling Trophy awarded to Runner Up team for Overall Performance.

· 1st prize D A Rode Rolling Trophy in Best Garden category for GM Bungalow garden & 1st prize Friends of Trees Rolling Trophy for Badhawar Park garden.

Other prizes include

· The Palekar & Company Rolling trophy for Mass display of Shady situation

· The Thea C Shroff Rolling Trophy for Fruits & Vegetables grown in containers

· The Knight Frank Rolling Trophy for Annuals grown in containers

· The Raika J Godrej Rolling Trophy for Flowering plants in pots

· The Friends of Trees Rolling Trophy for Cut flower Biennial & Perennial

Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager, Central Railway congratulated the Central Railway Horticulture team for their dedication and hardwork and motivated them to keep up their good work with words of encouragement.

More than 200 species of plants are showcased in these shows displaying more than 5000 saplings including Indoor, Outdoor, Medicinal, Aromatic, Fun, Orchid, Hanging Basket, Vertical Garden, Bonsai, Cactus etc.

These annual shows register a mammoth attendance of approximately 1.5 to 2 lakh visitors, wherein well known Organisations, Institutions and Companies like Central Railway, Western Railway, Godrej, HPCL, Hiranandani, RCF, BMC, Cactus & Bonsai Societies etc participate along with a large number of individual participants.
