Fostering enthusiasm and promoting good leadership was the prime agenda of IIT, Bombay to felicitate 14 Edu-Leaders on 15th February 2025 at the APT 2025 - MOODOMICS Conference. These Edu-Leaders were recognised for working towards holistic development of their students.

The Edu-Leaders included Alka Vora - Chairperson, Kapol Vidyanidhi Group, Kandivli, Dr. Reshma Hegde - Academic Director & Principal of Kapol Vidyanidhi International School, Kandivli, Husnara Khan - Principal, Nasheman Urdu Secondary School, Bhandup, Nivedita Damle - Senior Teacher of Rochiram Thadani School of Hearing Impaired, Chembur, Vijaya Lakshmi Shetty - Principal, Omkar English Medium School, Dombivli, Manasi Damle – Academic Coordinator, Omkar International School (CBSE), Thakurli, Reshma Rao - Principal, S.M. Shetty High School, Powai, Kalyani Chaudhuri - Principal, Don Bosco Senior Secondary School (CBSE), Nerul, Vidya Purov - Academic Director, Cosmopolitan Education Society, Andheri, Sheeja Menon - Principal, Vivek Vidyalaya, Goregaon, Shamina Jaykar - Trustee, St. Lawrence School, Santacruz, Sangeeta Mehrotra - Principal, Indradeosingh International School, Ghatkopar, Priya Mehta - Coordinator, Angels’ Education Trust, and Suma Das - Principal, Pawar Public School, Bhandup.

The other highlight of the event was a range of seminars attended by 20 schools, representing ICSE, CBSE and State board English and Vernacular mediums, from across Mumbai. Each Speaker was introduced by the student representatives of these schools. Some of the eminent National and International Speakers were Dr. Nirupama Srivastava - Vice President (Human resources) Kreate, Dr. Sanjiv Dhingra - Director of the Canada-Italy Tissue Engineering programme, Dr. Arun Wiita - Professor of Laboratory Medicine at UCSF, Dr. Jochen Schwenk - Professor at Translational Proteomics and Scientific Director of the Human Protein Atlas, Dr. Graham Ball - Chief Scientific Officer of Intelligent Omics Ltd. and Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, Dr. Ansgar Poetsch – leading researcher at Nanchang University, China, Dr. Bernd Wollschied - Professor at the ETH Zurich and Head of the institute for Translational Medicineand Dr. Judith Steen - Associate Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Neuroproteomics Laboratory at Boston Children's Hospital.

The Convenor of the Advances In Proteomics Technologies (APT) 2025 - MOODOMICS was Prof. Sanjeeva Srivastava - Professor IIT Bombay & Founder Proteomica International Pvt Ltd. MOODOMICS featured a dynamic mix of activities, including biotechnology activities for school children, TEDx-style scientific talks, and vibrant cultural and Bollywood performances. Prof. Srivastava's vision was to introduce an aspiring field of Proteomics to the student fraternity through this event. While the event culminated with a cultural performance by professional artistes of Nrityanjali, Prof. Sanjeeva also encouraged two schools under the Open Forum for Principals, India to showcase their talent. St. Lawrence School, Santacruz performed the Madiya folk dance and students of Omkar English Medium School (SSC), Dombivli enthralled the audience with their display of Mallakhamb - an Indian gymnastics showcasing aerial yoga and gymnastic postures using wrestling grips in concert with a stationary vertical pole.

The felicitation of the Edu-Leaders was conducted in the august presence of Dr. Tushar Guha - Founder, Nrityanjali Group and Chairperson of Open Forum for Principals, India. The joy and learning was evident with the response that was shared by the educators and the students.
