A Reddit post sharing this incident from Gurugram has delighted netizens. It was learned that a man named Rohan Mehra booked a cab for his cook's wife noting she was heavily pregnant. When the woman boarded the cab and was enroute to the hospital, she experienced labor and gave birth to the baby within the vehicle.

Driver helps passenger deliver baby onboard

"So today i booked a rapido for my cook as his wife was pragnant. The driver did the heart warming gesture as a true human being. she was in alot of pain while going to the hospital and couldn’t bear the pain and delivered the baby boy in the car itself. The driver helped the cook to deliver the baby and took them to hospital afterwards", the post read.

Mehra pointed out that the kind driver, Vikas, didn't even ask for an incentive for his deed. He only charged the ride charges of Rs. 186, while his act of humanity deserved much more.

Customer wishes to acknowledge cabbie

The Rapido customer wanted to acknowledge Vikas for his heartwarming gesture towards his pregnant cook's wife. He wrote to the cab service company requesting details of the driver.

"As a gesture to his humanity, we would like to do something for the driver but we couldn’t find his number after the ride ended as we did’nt called him before. I would like to request Rapido and Pavan Guntupalli to help us to reach that driver. His name was vikas and i have also provided the ride details below", Mehra wrote.
