Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a major crackdown on encroachments, unlicensed businesses, and sanitation violations, the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) Mobile Court, under the direction of Special Judicial Magistrate Mukesh Gupta, conducted spot fines and legal actions in Veer Savarkar Market, Nandlalpura, and Rajwada areas.

The removal and market department teams, along with municipal and police officials, targeted illegal street encroachments, makeshift sheds, and businesses operating without licenses.

Additionally, strict action was taken against shop owners found littering and violating hygiene regulations. During the drive, over 110 commercial establishments were penalised, and spot fines amounting to Rs 3.79 lakh were collected on the spot.

Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav and IMC commissioner Shivam Verma emphasised that these actions aim to ensure clean and hygienic public spaces, prevent food adulteration, and regulate unauthorised businesses in the city.

Prominent officials present included additional commissioner Lata Agrawal, removal officer BabluKalyane, health officers Gautam Bhatia, Rajesh Jaiswal, Sandeep Pataudi, LakhanShastri, Manoj Vyas and Jitendra Bhavsar, along with sanitary inspectors and police personnel.

The municipal corporation has warned that regular inspections and strict enforcement will continue in a bid to maintain order and cleanliness in the city.
