Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched the heritage hotel housed in the 126-year-old Sadar Manzil in the city on Saturday evening.  Delegates of Global Investors Summit (GIS) will be put up in the first couples-only hotel from February 23-25.

The chief minister said that it was because of the visionary ‘Smart City Scheme’ launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi that funds for rejuvenating heritage buildings like Sadar Manzil could be arranged. He lauded the makeover given to the heritage structure and expressed the hope that adequate parking arrangements would be made for the guests staying or visiting the hotel.

Originally the grand hall of audience for the Begums and Nawabs of Bhopal, this 19th-century residence has been carefully restored to provide a luxurious retreat exclusively for couples. The property boasts 22 meticulously designed vintage rooms and suites, adorned with antique furniture and finished in opulent turquoise and cream hues.

Every stay begins with a sophisticated welcome, including a traditional greeting at the airport, a chauffeured city drive, and a rose-petal reception at the mansion’s gates.

Atmosphere Core’s signature Holiday Plan, first introduced in Maldives, has been tailored for India with the indulgent Begum’s Plan. This includes luxurious accommodation, airport transfers, vegetarian breakfast and dinner, unlimited premium spirits and wines, hi-tea, live music and dance, a champagne tour, and spa treatments based on the stay duration. Guests can upgrade to a full-board option for all three meals.

Additional amenities feature the ELE|NA Ayur spa, a library, fitness centre, and a tranquil swimming pool. At Sadar Manzil, food takes centre stage with a vegetarian culinary philosophy. Guests can enjoy gourmet, meat-free dishes with global influences at Diwan-I-Khas, an all-day dining venue with frescoed ceilings and shimmering chandeliers.

The alfresco Charbagh Courtyard offers local and international vegetarian delicacies for lunch and dinner. For a refined experience, guests can try the wine cellar, Maikhana, or unwind at the elegant Madhushala Bar.

“I am sure the timeless charm of Sadar Manzil will resonate with travellers seeking romance, international luxury, and a glimpse into the beauty of a bygone era,” said director of RDB Bhopal Hospitality Pvt Ltd Vinod Yadhuvanshi.
