Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The day temperature in Madhya Pradesh once again tumbled down on Friday. The mercury dropped by up to 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in several cities, in line with the weather department's prediction.
Bhopal-Gwalior may be cloudy, while the sky will be clear in Indore, Ujjain on Saturday.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain the same in the last days of February. The reason for the dip in the nip can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation system over South Pakistan and Rajasthan, and an activated Western Disturbance in North India.
The phase of fall in the day's mercury has started from Friday and this is likely to continue till Feb-end.
Mercury drops in Bhopal, Indore
A fall in mercury was seen across the state on Friday. The day temperature remained below 30 degrees in many cities-- Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Dhar, Guna, Narmadapuram, Khandwa, Khargone, Raisen, Ratlam, Khajuraho, Narsinghpur and Umaria.
Similarly, a slight drop in mercury was also recorded on Thursday-Friday night.
The system will be active again from 24th
According to the Meteorological Department, a Western Disturbance will be active in North-West India on 24 February. Its effect can be seen in the state.
