Elections took place in various blocks across multiple districts, including Bilha (Bilaspur), Pendra (Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi), Lormi (Mungeli), Nawagarh (Janjgir-Champa), and others.
The elections were held for positions including Panchs, Sarpanchs, Janpad Panchayat members, and Zila Panchayat members using colored ballot papers: pink for Zila Panchayat members, yellow for Janpad Panchayat members, blue for Sarpanchs, and white for Panchs.
A total of 26,988 Panch, 3,774 Sarpanch, 899 Janpad Panchayat member, and 138 Zila Panchayat member posts were contested, with 65,716 candidates for Panch positions, 15,217 for Sarpanch, 3,885 for Janpad Panchayat members, and 699 for Zila Panchayat members.
