Mumbai: In a significant operation, the R.A.K. Marg Police have arrested a fugitive who had been on the run for 20 years. The arrested suspect has been identified as Habibul Bholu Imam Baksh Sheikh alias Bhullu. He was wanted in a case registered under Sections 457, 380, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Repeated Court Absences: The accused had been repeatedly absent from hearings at Shivdi Court, prompting the court to issue a non-bailable warrant against him. Due to his prolonged evasion, he was officially declared a fugitive by the authorities.
Acting on a confidential tip-off, Mumbai Police received intelligence that Bhullu was hiding in Hardouli village, Baberu Taluka, Banda district, Uttar Pradesh. A police team conducted a swift raid at the identified location and successfully apprehended the accused. This arrest underscores Mumbai Police’s continued efforts to track down long-time absconders and uphold justice.
