Megastar Chiranjeevi has addressed recent media reports suggesting that his mother, Anjana Devi, was unwell and hospitalised. Taking to social media on Friday (February 21), the veteran actor reassured fans and well-wishers that there is no cause for concern.

"My attention is drawn to some media reports claiming our mother is unwell and is hospitalised. Want to clarify that she was a little indisposed for a couple of days. She is hale and hearty and is perfectly alright now," Chiranjeevi wrote on his official X account.

He also urged the media to avoid spreading unverified news regarding his mother’s health, adding, "Appeal to all media not to publish any speculative reports on her health. Appreciate your understanding."

Chiranjeevi's post has brought relief to his fans and well-wishers, who had been concerned about his mother's well-being.

Earlier today, several reports surfaced claiming that the veteran actor's mother had been admitted to a hospital due to health concerns. It was also speculated that Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and actor Pawan Kalyan had rescheduled or postponed certain events in order to be with her during this time.

Recently, Chiranjeevi celebrated his 46th wedding anniversary with his wife, Surekha, in the most unique way. The couple marked their special day while flying to Dubai, surrounded by their close friends.

On Thursday, he also took to his social media account to give a glimpse of their mid-air celebration.

"Celebrating our wedding anniversary on a flight with some very dear friends en route to Dubai! I always feel I am very fortunate to have found a dream life partner in Surekha. She is my strength, my anchor, and the wind beneath my wings," the Telugu actor wrote.

"Always helping me navigate through the glorious unknowns of the world. Her presence is a constant comfort and an amazing motivator. Just taking this opportunity to express a bit about what and how much she means to me! Thank you, my soulmate--Surekha!! Here's to many more of these occasions to express my love and admiration for you," he added.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Chiranjeevi will be seen next in Vishwambhara, a fantasy drama co-starring Trisha and Meenakshi Chaudhary.
