South African speedster Kagiso Rabada was seen sledging Afghanistan opener Ibrahim Zadran after flattening his middle stump in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 clash at the National Stadium in Karachi. In a video surfaced on social media, the 29-year-old was seen saying something to the right-handed batter as he was making his way to the pavilion.
The dismissal of opener Zadran occurred in the tenth over as Rabada clocked a speed of well over 145 kph and beat the defences of the 23-year-old. With Zadran hitting the Johannesburg-born speedster for a maximum in the previous delivery, the Proteas bowler was likely a lot more fired up after taking the wicket.

Ryan Rickleton's century headlines South Africa's disciplined batting performance after winning the toss
Meanwhile, opening batter Ryan Rickleton created history by scoring 103 as he became the first Proteas keeper-batter to notch up a ton in Champions Trophy history. The likes of Temba Bavuma, Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram also peeled fifties to set up a stiff 316 for Afghanistan.
The Afghans had secured an ODI series win over the Proteas last year; hence, they came in with a slight upper hand. However, the Proteas have already left their opposition with a steep task by already picking up five wickets. South Africa are also on a five-match losing streak currently as they lost to Pakistan four times and beaten by New Zealand once.
