Actress and controversy queen Rakhi Sawant has responded to the Maharashtra Cyber Cell's summons in connection with the ongoing India's Got Latent controversy. A paparazzo account shared a video of Rakhi in which she expressed her discontent over the notice, stating that she had done nothing wrong.

In the video, Rakhi said, "Mujhe summon bhejne ka matlab nahi hai doston. Aap mujhe video call kariye, main sab batane ke liye ready hoon. Maine sirf interview diya, koi gaali bhi nahi di. Rape cases pending hain, unko solve kijiye. Main toh bhikaran hoon, mere paas ek rupya bhi nahi hai (There is no point in sending me a summon. You can video call me, I am ready to tell you everything. I was called for an interview, and I gave the interview, that's it. I didn't even abuse anyone. So, there is no point in sending me a summon. First, solve the pending rape cases)."

Rakhi, who has shifted base to Dubai, questioned the need for her appearance and urged authorities to focus on more pressing issues.

"I am a beggar; I don’t even have a single rupee to give you. I live in Dubai... I don’t even have any work... What will you do by calling me? There is no benefit in it. Girls are getting raped; have some sympathy for them and their parents. Punish their criminals. Please, I request everyone. We have not committed any crime; we are white-collar," Rakhi added.

It may be mentioned that Rakhi had appeared as a special guest on a couple of episodes of India's Got Latent.

The controversy began after YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, aka Beer Biceps, appeared on India's Got Latent and asked a contestant an inappropriate question. The clip went viral, leading to public outrage and multiple FIRs against Ranveer, showrunner Samay Raina, and others.

Summons and Investigations

Authorities have summoned several personalities linked to the controversial episode:

Rakhi has been asked to appear on February 27. It remains unclear if she will travel to Mumbai.

Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer are to record their statements on February 24. While Ashish has remained silent, Ranveer has reportedly gone MIA, with his phone switched off and house locked.

Samay Raina, who is on a tour in Canada and the US, requested a virtual hearing but was denied. He must appear in person by March 17.

The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has confirmed that 30-40 people linked to the show’s first six episodes will be investigated.

Following the backlash, Samay removed all India’s Got Latent videos from his official YouTube channel, stating that his intent was only to entertain. Ranveer also issued an apology, admitting to a lapse in judgment.
