On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Ph.D. research students from Nashik district of the Pune division carried out a cleanliness drive at Ramshej Fort under the Sardar Hiroji Indalkar Fort Conservation Program.

Various activities have been organized across the state on the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In line with this, research students from the city and rural areas of Sarathi celebrated a unique Shiv Jayanti by carrying out a fort cleanliness drive.

The research students started the cleanliness drive by gathering at the foot of Ramshej Fort at 7:30 in the morning. All the researchers participated in this drive spontaneously, and under this initiative, plastic, garbage, food remnants, and other waste on Ramshej Fort were cleaned and then properly disposed of. Also, all those who participated in this campaign took an oath to keep the forts clean in the future and appealed to citizens not to litter on the forts, encouraging them to contribute to preserving the historical glory of Maharashtra.

In this campaign, Sarathi Nashik Division Project Officer Prathamesh Gaikwad, Pankaj Raite, as well as Sarathi Ph.D. research students Chetan Mandwade, Vinod Wagh, Sachin Chavan, Satish Davange, Sharad Shelar, Sayali Bhandare, Nalini Deshmukh, and 25 to 30 other research students, along with students from MKCL Skytech Institute, were present in large numbers.
