How much do celebs spend on fitness?

According to celebrity fitness coach Yogesh Bhateja, who has trained stars like Sonu Sood, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Kangana Ranaut, fitness costs in Bollywood vary widely. “There is no limit. It can be anywhere between ₹2-5 lakh per month, including their diet,” he revealed in an interview with Lallantop Cinema.

What role does diet play in celebrity fitness?

Diet plays a crucial role in a celebrity's fitness plan. Many stars include superfoods like blueberries, avocados, and organic proteins in their meals, which significantly increases costs. However, Bhateja reassures that affordable substitutes like pomegranates and eggs can offer similar nutritional benefits without breaking the bank.

Apart from specialised diets, celebrities also invest heavily in personal trainers. Bhateja estimated that an average celebrity fitness trainer earns around ₹3,000-5,000 per session, depending on their experience and expertise. Celebrities often opt for one-on-one training sessions, customized workout plans, and private gym setups to maintain their fitness while handling hectic schedules.

The pressure to look a certain way

With immense industry expectations, many celebrities take drastic measures to achieve rapid transformations. Bhateja spoke about the rising use of Ozempic for weight loss and steroids for muscle gain, warning of their harmful effects. “Losing a lot of weight or building muscle within weeks is not possible naturally. So, if a celebrity and their trainer are using external help, they know the consequences, and there will be ill effects on their health,” he cautioned.

While stars invest heavily in their fitness, Bhateja reassured that staying in shape doesn’t require an extravagant budget. He encouraged people to focus on affordable, nutrient-rich foods and consistent exercise routines, emphasising that commitment and smart choices outweigh luxury gym memberships and expensive healthy foods.
