CBSE Class 12th Physics Paper Analysis 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) held the Class 12 Physics board exam today, February 21. The Physics paper began at 10:30 am and concluded at 1:30 pm. Here, candidates can check the CBSE 12th Physics exam paper review.

Surender Puli, PGT Physics, Vidyagyan School, Sitapur, said that overall the paper was lengthy, and Set 3 was particularly long. The multiple-choice questions (MCQs) were quite challenging and tricky. Section E, comprising five-mark questions, was comparatively easy but took a little time to solve, similar to three-mark questions in Section C. In Section B, some of the two-mark questions were slightly tough and needed a better concept understanding.

Geeta, a Class 12 student at Vidyagyan School, Sitapur, shared her thoughts on the paper, saying, "In Set 2, Section B was a little long, and Section C consisted of concept-based questions, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The paper overall was moderate, and I am expecting good marks."

CBSE Board Exam 2025: Class 12 Physics Exam Pattern And Marking Scheme

There were 33 questions in all in the five sections (A, B, C, D, and E) of the Class 12 Physics examination. Students were required to attempt all questions. The marking scheme is as follows:

Section A:

16 questions (12 multiple-choice and 4 assertion-reasoning questions), each carrying 1 mark (16 marks)

Section B:

5 questions, each worth 2 marks (10 marks)

Section C:

7 questions, each carrying 3 marks (21 marks)

Section D:

2 case study-based questions, each worth 4 marks (8 marks)

Section E:

3 long-answer questions, each carrying 5 marks (15 marks)

The total marks for the theory paper were 70, and practical exams accounted for 30 marks, making the overall total 100 marks.

To pass, students must score at least 33 per cent in both theory and practical exams combined.
