The budget of ₹ 9,675.27 crore was presented for the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) for the year 2025-26 on Friday, at the Late Mayor Madhukar Pavale Auditorium, located in the PCMC Main Administrative Building.
This budget includes ₹6,256.39 crore from PCMC, with the remaining amount coming from central and state-sponsored schemes.
Since March 13, 2022, the corporation has been under administrative rule. Chief Accounts and Finance Officer Praveen Jain presented the budget to Administrator Shekhar Singh, with Additional Commissioners Pradeep Jambhale and Vijay Kumar Khorate also present. With municipal elections on the horizon, the administrator has ensured that there will be no increase in property taxes or water charges, giving relief to the people of Pimpri-Chinchwad.
The PCMC budget for the financial year 2023-2024 was ₹7,128 crore, while the PCMC commissioner presented the 2024-2025 budget at ₹8,676 crore.

₹55.48 crore for the AMRUT scheme (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation)
₹156.95 crore for the Harit Setu project
₹107.92 crore for the Telco road project
In the meantime, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is also preparing to present its budget for the upcoming financial year, with the budget session scheduled to take place in the first week of March, though the exact date has not been finalised yet. The PMC budget for the year 2024-25 is ₹11,601 crore, marking an increase of ₹2,086 crore compared to the ₹9,515 crore in 2023-24.
