The incident of a violent brawl between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, who had come face-to-face for a court hearing, took place on Thursday (20th) afternoon. The fight at the courthouse entrance left onlookers in shock in Nashik.
What stood out was that some female police officers and lawyers, who were present at the beginning of this fierce altercation, merely watched as spectators instead of intervening. The physical assault weakened both groups, and only after some time did others step in to resolve the dispute and call the Sarkarwada police.
Meanwhile, as such a freestyle fight occurred at the court entrance, the incident became a hot topic of discussion throughout the court premises for the entire day. In the video, one can see the family members hurling abuses at each other and fighting, sitting on each other's bodies during the altercation. Even a scooter parked nearby was toppled in the fight.
Disputes between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law are common, but this incident highlighted how dangerous such conflicts can become. Eventually, the police intervened and took appropriate action against both parties.

Since an agreement was not reached, the dispute escalated to court. On the second hearing date, the conflict reignited at the District and Sessions Court entrance. A verbal altercation took place between mother-in-law Yamuna Yashwant Nikam (58, Pimpalpatti, Jail Road) and the daughter-in-law's brother Deepak Hiraman Salve (37, Dhulgaon, Mahirawani). The argument soon turned into a physical fight, involving men and women from both groups.
Despite efforts from bystanders to mediate, both sides remained aggressive, ignoring any attempts at resolution. Eventually, Sarkarwada police intervened and took both groups to the police station, where a non-prosecution case was registered, and a memo was issued to the concerned parties.
