Mumbai: In a bid to support students facing stress and anxiety during board exams, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has appointed counselors at the state level. These professionals will provide counseling to students appearing for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in 2025.
Recognising that students often experience mental stress, fear, and negative thoughts during exam periods, the board has arranged for professional counseling services. Students struggling with anxiety or exam-related pressure can seek guidance from the appointed counselors via mobile calls. The counseling service will be available free of charge from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM before and during the examination period.
However, students and parents are advised that these counselors are strictly available for mental health support and will not entertain queries related to exam centers, seating arrangements, or question papers.
The HSC (Std. 12) exams are scheduled from February 11 to March 18, 2025, while the SSC (Std. 10) exams will take place from February 21 to March 17, 2025.
