JSW MG Motor India continues to make a meaningful social impact through its flagship initiative, MG Sewa. Established even before the company launched its first car, MG Sewa is committed to driving positive change by focusing on education, hygiene, and women empowerment. In 2024, the initiative reached over 1.2 lakh people, with 70,000 of them being women and young girls.
By supporting early literacy, advanced learning, and education for mothers, MG Sewa aims to create lasting opportunities for future generations. The program also extends its efforts to children with special needs, ensuring inclusivity and equal access to education. Through targeted interventions, MG Sewa is shaping a brighter future by fostering growth, health, and empowerment within communities.
MG Sewa stands out as a mission-driven initiative, built on the belief that businesses can drive social change beyond corporate obligations. Unlike traditional CSR programs, it was launched purely as a voluntary effort by JSW MG Motor India. One of its key programs, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), has supported over 16,730 women and girls by promoting menstrual hygiene in underserved areas.
In rural Odisha, MG Sewa is transforming education by introducing innovative mathematics learning methods in more than 100 government schools, helping tribal students grasp concepts in their native languages. So far, these educational efforts have benefited over 80,000 children, breaking down learning barriers and fostering inclusivity.
Commenting on the initiative, Rajeev Chaba, CEO Emeritus, said, “Community is a core brand pillar at JSW MG Motor India, and our care for people transcends beyond our customers and employees. Sewa, our voluntary community service initiative, was conceptualized well before the launch of our first car. Aimed at creating a positive impact in the fields of women's empowerment and girl child education, under Sewa, we have supported over 70,000 females across the country in the past year. Our vision is simple yet powerful – ‘to support as many women as the cars we sell.’ We strive to drive meaningful change and contribute to a brighter, more equitable future for all.”
