On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Maha Kumbh. He took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam amid tight security arrangements.
PM Modi arrived at the Triveni Sangam using the Arail Ghat route on the Nishadraj Cruise. He chanted mantras and performed Rudraksha Jap.
After taking a holy dip, the Prime Minister also performed Ganga Aarti and offered prayers to the Ganga River.
The Prime Minister also shared pictures of Maha Maha Kubh on his X handle. He shared his experience of the grand event and wrote, "Blessed to be at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The Snan at the Sangam is a moment of divine connection, and like the crores of others who have taken part in it, I was also filled with a spirit of devotion. May Maa Ganga bless all with peace, wisdom, good health and harmony."
PM Modi arrived at the grand event at around 10:30 AM. He was seen wearing a full-sleeve orange jersey and blue trousers.
The Maha Kumbh is one of the most revered and sacred Hindu festivals. It has evolved beyond its religious origins to become a globally recognised cultural event.
The sacred event commenced on Pausha Purnima (January 13, 2025), will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26.
