For the past few days, social activist Anjali Damania has been leveling serious allegations against Minister Dhananjay Munde, accusing him of involvement in the murder of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh. She also claimed to have met Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and submitted evidence against Munde. While Munde had remained silent on these accusations, he finally broke his silence on Tuesday at a press conference in Mumbai, following Damania’s fresh allegations of corruption during his tenure as Agriculture Minister.
Speaking at the press conference, Minister Dhananjay Munde said that Anjali Damania is trying to defame Beed district and its people. He pointed out that she has made many accusations in the past, but none of them have been proven true. “If Anjali Damania wants to return to politics, she should say so openly instead of making false allegations just to stay in the news. Her claims are completely untrue. No one should think that we are silent because we have nothing to say. We will respond when needed, and no one should mistake our patience for weakness,” Munde warned.
Anjali Damania has made accusations against many people until today. I challenge the media to verify whether any of these accusations have held up. I feel sorry for Anjali Damania’s intelligence. The allegations she made regarding a scam in the Agriculture Department’s purchases are completely false. The purchases were made through companies determined by the central government, Munde replied to the allegations and mocked Anjali Damania by referring to her surname as ‘Badnamiya’, ridiculing her in the process.
Speaking about the allegations related to financial transactions concerning the ash generated at the Parli thermal power plant, Dhananjay Munde mentioned that the Supreme Court has ordered that the ash should be removed at the plant’s own expense. He also added that if Anjali Damania only wants to make allegations against him, then he wished her the best.
Dhananjay Munde has announced that he will file a defamation lawsuit against Anjali Damania. Through his social media in late evening, he informed that he will soon be filing a criminal defamation case in the High Court.
After Munde’s response, Anjali Damania did not back down. She firmly stated that she would continue presenting evidence regardless of the situation. Following Munde’s press conference, Damania also interacted with the media, saying, “Let them say whatever they want. But I will present the evidence one by one and show you your place. If you had spent even one percent of the time you spent with Karad as a minister, you wouldn’t be seeing these days.” She then read out all the Government Resolutions (GRs) and evidence against him. It now seems that the coming days will witness a continued face-off between Damania and Dhananjay Munde.
