Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The cabinet approved Madhya Pradesh Semi Conductor Policy and Madhya Pradesh Drone Policy on Tuesday. It gave the nod to clear liabilities of Hukumchand Mill of Indore and to implement the new project in the area of the mill.  

As far as the semi-conductor policy is concerned, it will create an eco-system for investment in the state. The policy will create 14,400 job opportunities and will help in developing skilled workforce connect with high-end technology. The policy will be a milestone in long-term industrial development sector. It will also help the state in attracting domestic and international investors. It will help start ups and boost innovations. Cooperation of India with countries such as USA, Japan and Taiwan has cemented the semi-conductor manufacturing sector. The policy is going to provide fillip to the economy of the state.

Madhya Pradesh Drone Policy 2025

The drone policy is going to help the state in myriad ways. Along with attracting investment and generating employment, it will accelerate research and development in drone technology. The drones could be used in agriculture fields to spray urea, pesticide along with doing surveillance of fields. The drone usage could be done in handling security, to control mob, to speed up relief work, inspection of infrastructures, road, bridge etc. Drones could be used in protection of wildlife, monitoring pollution, forest management, environmental conservation etc.

Cabinet okays proposal

The cabinet okayed the proposal to clear liabilities of Indore s Hukumchand Mill and granted approval for new project. The mill is spread in 17.52 hectares of land. A tripartite agreement has been inked between Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC), Madhya Pradesh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board and Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Housing. Through this project, Indore city will get shopping mall, office space, residential area, garden facility etc. Indore Municipal Corporation will also receive revenue and property tax from the project which could be used in the development of city s infrastructure. The project will focus on environmental conservation and new plantation.

Proposal approved to implement PMAY 2.0

The cabinet approved the proposal to implement Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) 2.0. Under the project, 10 lakh affordable houses for people of weaker, lower and middle class category will be constructed in the state. A sum of Rs 50k crore will be spent under the project.

Under Affordable Housing and in partnership with (ARH) head, houses will be built and will be given on rent to working women, industrial labourers, urban migratory population, homeless persons, students, destitutes and other eligible beneficiaries.
