The highly anticipated Mintonette Cup 2025 Sportainment evening successfully concluded after two thrilling days of competition on January 31st and February 1st, 2025, at the Kalina University Indoor Stadium, Mumbai.

The tournament witnessed the participation of over 75 teams (around 1,000 players) from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad, all competing for the championship titles.

A special dance performance by a professional team took place on the final day, adding to the excitement. Multiple raffle draws were held, with students winning various prizes, including a bumper prize where two players were selected to travel overseas with the team, with all costs covered by the academy.

Winners and Awards: The tournament featured intense competition across multiple categories, with the following teams emerging victorious:

Under-14 Boys Winner: HOCL School , Raigad

Under-14 Boys Runners-up: Children’s Academy, Thakur Complex

Under-14 Girls Winner:St.Lawrence School, Borivli

Under-14 Girls Runners-up: North Point School , Koparkhairane

Under-18 Boys Winner: HOC International school/Jr.College, Raigad

Under-18 Boys Runners-up: P D Lions Jr.college, Malad

Under-18 Girls Winner: HOC International School/Jr.College , Raigad

Under-18 Girls Runners-up: North Point School , Koparkhairane

Prize Money: All Winning teams received ₹25,000 each, while all the runners-up teams were awarded ₹10,000 each

Future Prospects

A major highlight of the tournament was the selection of 10 boys and 10 girls, identified as the most promising talents. These young athletes will receive advanced training and the opportunity to compete in an international tournament under foreign coaches. Their entire travel expenses will be covered by the Mintonette+ Academy, further emphasizing our commitment to nurturing future volleyball stars.
