Students studying from  Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) schools  had the opportunity to experience interactive ways of learning concepts  in real life situations. 

Total of 13,705 students from standard 2 to 5 , was taken to Mumbai based Kidzania - an indoor edutainment theme park. The park conducted this activity for 10 days which started from January 20 to January 29. 

"This was the largest school engagement programs to have been ever conducted by Kidzania Mumbai and this highlights the transformative impact of experiential learning in empowering young students with essential knowledge and skills. The program aimed to introduce children to real-world professions, financial literacy, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through KidZania’s unique role-playing activities  ," said an official. 

This initiative, spearheaded by NMMC’s Education Department, emphasized the importance of experiential learning in shaping young minds. Expressing her thoughts on the initiative, Mrs. Sangharatna Khillare stated, At NMMC, we are committed to providing holistic learning experiences for our students. KidZania’s unique edutainment platform allows children to learn through play, helping them develop essential life skills in an engaging and safe environment.” said Sangharatna Khillare, Deputy Commissioner of NMMC’s Education Department.

During their visit, the students engaged in various career-based activities, stepping into the shoes of doctors, firefighters, pilots, journalists, chefs, and other professionals. These interactive experiences provided an enjoyable yet educational approach to understanding different careers, fostering creativity, curiosity, and essential life skills.

Tarandeep Singh Sekhon, Chief Business Officer (CBO) of KidZania India, also shared his enthusiasm, saying, “ It was delight to have students from NMMC schools . Our mission is to provide children with an experiential learning environment that helps them build essential life skills in a fun and engaging way. This collaboration with NMMC reflects our commitment to making learning accessible and enjoyable for every child. Witnessing the excitement and curiosity among these young minds has been truly rewarding, and we look forward to hosting many more such initiatives in the future.
