Mumbai: A shocking incident has come to light from a reputed school named NES High School in Bhandup, where a fourth-grade girl was allegedly injected with an unknown substance by an unidentified person. The girl is currently undergoing treatment at Wadia Hospital. Following a complaint from the parents, the Bhandup Police have registered an FIR under Sections 125, 125 (a) of BNS and sections 75, 77 of JJ ( Care n Protection of children ) Act 2015 against an unknown individual.

According to the police, the incident occurred on January 31, when the girl was playing on the school grounds. She claimed to have felt a prick on her back, as if someone had injected her with something. Shortly after, she fainted in her classroom, prompting the school authorities to rush her to Wadia Hospital.The Free Press Journal (FPJ) attempted to contact the school for further clarification and verification of the incident. However, the school authorities have not provided any response so far.

The girl’s condition is reported to be stable, and she continues to receive medical care. Police have formed five teams to investigate the case, attempting to piece together the sequence of events based on the parents’ complaint.

Bhandup Police officials have reviewed CCTV footage from the school premises but have not yet identified any suspicious individuals. According to the police, the girl’s complaint only mentions the sensation of being injected—there are no allegations of molestation or physical assault, and the investigation has not revealed any evidence suggesting such offenses.

Despite this, the police are treating the case with seriousness due to the nature of the complaint. Further investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances and identify the person responsible.
