Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Police busted a bike theft gang and arrested two persons including the buyer and detained a minor boy, an official said on Monday. The police recovered 10 stolen motorcycles from their possession.
The police arrested a person from Dhar, who bought these stolen bikes. The accused used to steal bikes to fulfill their desire to buy expensive items. ACP (Khajrana) Kundan Mandloi said that the police received a tip-off that two persons were roaming in Khajrana area on a stolen bike.
Khajrana police station in-charge Manoj Sendhav constituted a team and nabbed the accused Krishna Solanki and a minor boy. During an interrogation, they informed police about one Vivek of Dhar who used to buy these stolen bikes and the accused used to hide these bikes at different safe places. The police recovered 10 stolen bikes from their possession and also arrested the buyer Vivek.
It is said that two accused were using hooter on a stolen bike which caught police’s attention and when they stopped them, they found that the bike was stolen. However, police officials did not verify the fact. A case was registered against the accused under relevant sections of BNS and they were further interrogated for any other previous criminal activities.
