Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The state is witnessing mixed weather condition--cold mornings and nights, while scorching sun during the day gives summer-like feels.
The mercury rose significantly during the day in several parts, like Bhopal and Indore, on Sunday. Similar weather continued on Monday as well.
According to the Meteorological Department, day and night temperatures in the state may fall by 2 to 3 degrees by February 7.
Drop in day temperature in many cities
There were clouds in some places in Gwalior-Chambal on Sunday. At the same time, a drop in day temperature was seen in many cities. Mercury in Dhar fell by 2.4 degrees in Dhar at 26.7 degrees. Similarly, temperature dipped in Sagar, Guna, Khandwa, Ratlam, Shivpuri, Damoh, Jabalpur, Sidhi Betul, Rewa, Satna, Tikamgarh.
Western disturbance is expected to be active from February 3. A, another system can also become active on February 8. Due to this, a change in weather can be seen in the state. Meteorologists said some parts of the state will remain cloudy in the first week. After February 20, the effect of cold will reduce further. Due to which an increase in temperature will be recorded both day and night.
Weather forecast:
February 3: Light to moderate fog may remain in Mandsaur, Shivpuri, Datia, and Bhind. Dense fog may also prevail in some places in Neemuch, Gwalior, Morena, and Sheopur.
February 4: There may be a slight drop in mercury in some places in the state. The weather will be sunny during the day.
