Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Department, is organising a three-day state-level inter-university youth festival 'Yuvaan' 2024-25 on its Takshashila Campus from Monday. Vice-chancellor Rakesh Singh will chair the fest.
The festival will commence on February 3 at 10:30 am, with the inaugural ceremony graced by chief guest, minister for water resources Tulsi Silawat. MLA Golu Shukla will also be present. The event will include a diverse range of competitions, including classical and folk dance, singing, debate, poetry recitation, mimicry and instrumental music.
The competitions aim to provide a platform for students to showcase their talents and celebrate cultural heritage. The closing ceremony is scheduled for February 5 at 10:30 am at DAVV auditorium. The chief guest for the event will be Usha Thakur, minister for culture and tourism.
Special guests include Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav, principal secretary of higher education department Anupam Rajan and others. The event will conclude with an award distribution ceremony, recognising the exceptional performances of the participants.
Vidya Sagar School Hosts Carnival
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Vidya Sagar School hosted a carnival on Sunday, on the occasion of Vasant Panchami, bringing together students from nursery to class 5 along with their grandparents. The event aimed to strengthen intergenerational bonds, allowing children to learn from their elders’ wisdom and experiences.
Various engaging activities, including fun games, orchestra, pottery, tambola, ramp walk, tattoo art and a lucky draw, kept participants entertained. Parents and grandparents appreciated the initiative, praising the school’s efforts in fostering family connections.
Principal Bhavna Pujari expressed gratitude to attendees, emphasizing the importance of nurturing relationships between children and their elders. The carnival concluded with joyful moments and heartfelt blessings for the students’ bright future.
