The practice of Amrit Snan at the Maha Kumbh is considered to be auspicious.
There are 7 main dates when the Amrit Snan is observed in Maha Kumbh 2025.
One such occassion is of Basant Panchami, observed on February 2 and 3. Next Amrit Snan will be on 12 February 2025 on the occassion of Magh Purnima.

Divine saints were seen moving towards the confluence with full glory on the holy occasion of Basant Panchami, the third nectar bath of Prayagraj Mahakumbh.
Devotees take a dip as it is largely believed that taking part in Amrit Snan will give spiritual benefits not only to the person but it is also their seven generations are purified, receiving the blessings of the holy waters.
It is believed that taking a dip in the holy waters of the Sangam on Basant Panchami washes away all sins, leading to spiritual purification. The Amrit Snan is also believed to infuse the body with divine energy, revitalising the devotee and promoting the flow of positive energy throughout their entire being.
Another believe is that taking the Amrit Snan on Basant Panchami, especially during the Mahakumbh, grants the devotee Moksha, freeing them from the cycle of birth and death.
