Bag Containing Foreign Currencies Stolen From Trader’s Scooter

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A man stole a bag containing foreign currencies from the dickey of a trader’s scooter, police said on Sunday. A suspect was seen in CCTV camera footage but the police were clueless about him till filing of this report. Additional DCP (crime) Rajesh Dandotiya said that the incident took place in Palsikar Colony on Saturday night.

Sandeep Chawla, a resident of Palsikar Colony, lodged a complaint that after he reached home from his shop on Saturday night, an unidentified man managed to steal a bag containing about US dollar 500 and 9,700 Thai Baht from his scooter’s dickey.

Some papers of his property were also in the bag. In CCTV camera footage, a suspect was seen on the spot with the bag. The CCTV camera footage of other places is also being examined to identify the accused and to arrest him. Police believe that the suspect followed the trader from his shop to his house as he was aware of the money in the bag.

Three Arrested With Drugs Worth ₹3L From Two Places

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The city crime branch on Sunday arrested three people from different places with drugs worth Rs 3 lakh. According to a crime branch officer, teams were searching for people supplying drugs in the city. Following a tip-off, a youth named Ajay Basinde of Amar Palace Colony was caught.

He tried to flee after seeing the police team but was arrested. The accused is a drug addict and was delivering the drugs to earn money. About 15 grams of brown sugar were recovered from him. The value of the drugs is Rs 1.5 lakh in the international market. He was booked under section 8/21 of the NDPS Act. In another action, the crime branch caught a man from RTO Road with 15 grams of MD drugs.

He allegedly informed the police that one Ahmad Khan of Jaora in Ratlam district had given the drugs to him. Ahmad was subsequently arrested. Ahmad is also a drug addict and used to supply the drugs to become rich. The accused are being questioned for the source of drugs.
