Jey Uso shocked the WWE Universe by eliminating John Cena to win the 2025 Royal Rumble. Fans had hoped to see Cena win his third Rumble, making him only the second superstar after Stone Cold Steve Austin to achieve that milestone.

However, WWE decided to push Jey Uso, one of the company’s most popular stars right now. Cena was left stunned as Jey sent him over the top rope.

Cena had Jey on his shoulders, ready to hit an Attitude Adjustment, but Jey managed to escape and stay in the ring. From there, it was an easy win for Jey as he pushed Cena out. Despite the heartbreak, Cena returned to the ring and hugged Jey to congratulate him.

Cena entered the match at 23 and made three eliminations. The final three superstars were Cena, Jey (20), and Logan Paul (30). With this win, Jey can now challenge either Gunther or Cody Rhodes for a title match at WrestleMania 41.

Cena still has one more shot at the WrestleMania main event. He’s set to compete in the Elimination Chamber, where a win would earn him a title match. As part of his farewell tour, Cena will retire in December 2025 and is expected to appear on next week’s WWE Raw, where Jey will likely kick off the show.

Another major moment from the Rumble was WWE teasing a huge triple-threat match between Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk. Punk eliminated both Rollins and Reigns, but Rollins retaliated, attacking Punk and Reigns after his elimination.
