Garoth (Madhya Pradesh): Fifteen people were injured, two of them seriously, when a private bus carrying passengers lost control and overturned in Chandkhedi Khurd village in Garoth on Saturday.

As per reports, the accident occurred in Bolia Chandkhedi Khurd village when a private bus overturned as a result of which 15 passengers, including women, men and children got injured.

As soon as villagers got the information, they rushed to assist the injured. The bus was travelling from Shamgarh when it overturned in a ditch near the village. At the time of the accident, the bus was carrying between 25 to 30 passengers. Most of the injured were women.

‘While on the way, the bus lost control due to speeding and overturned in a ditch. Onlookers then helped the passengers to come out from the bus and informed the police. The police reached the spot and sent the injured to Civil Hospital Garoth for treatment. They all have been given first-aid’, an eyewitness said.

Those injured were Kalu Surjana, Sardar Singh, Leela Bai among others. Among the injured, Sardar Singh and Gayatri Bai were reported to be in serious condition and were referred to a specialised facility.

On being informed, Garoth Bhanpura MLA Chander Singh Sisodia arrived at the scene shortly after the incident. He inspected both the buses and the accident site and ensured that the situation was being handled appropriately.
