Ahead of the upcoming Shiv Jayanti celebrations, Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi stressed the need to provide all necessary facilities, such as adequate drinking water, medical treatment and medicines, to the followers of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who will be attending the festival in the district. He directed all concerned agencies to coordinate effectively to ensure the success of the Shiv Jayanti event.
Dudi made these remarks during a review meeting held at the District Collector's Office to prepare for Shiv Jayanti. He highlighted the importance of ensuring the cleanliness of the forts like Shivneri, Rajgad and Purandar and providing proper sanitation facilities for the large number of followers expected. Dudi further advised that drinking water should be tested twice to ensure its quality, and the number of toilets should be increased based on last year’s attendance estimates. He also requested the Health Department to stock up on ample medicines and ORS packets at the health booths.
Additionally, Dudi asked the Archaeological Department to handle the cleaning of the forts, the Municipal Council to supply clean water, and the State Transport Corporation to provide sufficient bus services.
