Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Four youths going for a trip to Rajasthan were abducted on the way. When the abductors demanded ransom over for their release, the family members of the youths informed the police about the incident.
The police rescued the youths and arrested all four abductors from Rajasthan.
Additional superintendent of police Vikram Singh said that the brother of Suresh Soni, Ramesh, a resident of Nowgong, along with his friends Rajkumar Soni, Anil Rajput and Om Shukla, was going to Rajasthan. The abductors demanded Rs 5 lakh each for the release of the youths and threatened to kill them if their family failed to pay the ransom.
On receiving complaints from the family members of the abducted youths, the police began to inquire about the case. Superintendent of police Agam Jain formed a team to probe the case and arrest the culprits.
According to the strategy, some money was sent to QR code and UPI code to meet the abductors’ demand. Afterwards, the police laid their hands on some technical evidence, on the basis of which the police reached Bhajeda village, where the abducted youths were kept in an isolated house.
Soon after reaching the house, they rescued Ramesh, Rajkumar, Anil and Om Shukla. Then, they arrested Mohan Singh, Musaddi Singh, Jaffar Khan and Jagdish Prasad.
The police also recovered Rs 1.75 lakh from the possession of the abductors and three mobile phones who were taken from the abducted youths.
