Dewas (Madhya Pradesh): A 21-year-old woman was molested by her old friend from Dewas in Palasia area. The accused was harassing her for a few days.  

According to the police, the woman lodged a complaint, saying that she was employed in a company in the city. She and accused Nirmal Gurjar of Satwas in Dewas district were friends but she had stopped talking to him over some issue.

However, he was harassing her and pressuring her to talk to him. On January 29, when she was passing through the Manoramaganj area, the accused followed her and held her hand with bad intention. She cried for help and he fled after threatening her of dire consequences. The police have registered a case and are searching for the accused.    

Man arrested for harassing woman  

A 45-year-old man was arrested for making objectionable gestures to his female neighbour in the Palasia area on Friday. Palasia police station in charge Manish Mishra said that the woman, who runs a beauty parlour, lodged a complaint that her neighbour Mukesh tried to talk to her. Whenever she was on her terrace, he made objectionable gestures and called her to meet him.

The woman said she warned him but he did not stop harassing her so she lodged a formal police complaint on Thursday. The accused was arrested and further investigation is on.
